Belly button pain @ 5 weeks?

Did anyone else have this?

Woke up today with a bit of belly button pain and a pulling sensation as well. Is this something I need to call the doctor about...or is this normal? I dont remember reading anything about belly button pain.

Thanks ladies!

Did u just have when woke up or continue to have after? If continue just give Dr a call. If one time then I'm sure just one of those normal pains would have if not prego that we never paid attention to before

I'm almost 7 weeks, and while not right near my belly button, I've been having pulling sensations to the sides. I'm assuming it's round ligament pain or the stretching. I had an u/s this week and saw the heartbeat - all is good so the pain must be normal.

This is my second baby and I do remember these feelings from my Chat Icon , only later on. I figure this time it may happen sooner since my body knows what to do or I'm just realizing sooner since it's a familiar feeling.

Re: Belly button pain @ 5 weeks?

I have tenderness around and inside my belly button. I had surgery in April and one of the incisions was made in my belly button. I always assumed this was why I had that feeling but maybe it is because of the pregnancy?

I've had tightness or pulling on either side of my belly button but not in the middle. I really feel it if I am laying down and roll over or go from laying to sitting. I wouldn't call it a cramp or painful but like a little tug. I am assuming this is just the muscles going to work down there and since it hasn't hurt, I haven't been worried.

I would just watch it - if it is very painful, call the doctor. If you are nervous, then call too because it may offer you some reassurance.

Thanks ladies!

It continued to bug me, so I called my RE. She said it was normal and I should only be concerned if I was bleeding or spotting.

I took some tylenol and am already feeling better. Yay!

Thanks again!
