being induced tonight
Just got back from the dr and she's inducing me tonight. Definitely in shock because she said she'd let me go until this weekend but because of GD and IVF she feels more comfortable with inducing me tonight. Please give me an idea of what to expect. Would it be beneficial for my mom to be there tonight or wait until there's a little progress....just starting cervadil tonight.

being induced tonight
Crashing...Wanted to wish you good luck and answer your question (or at least try).
My SIL was induced on a Sunday. They started her on cervadil. While my MIL was ready to be there Sunday, my SIL told everyone to stay away. She said she's glad she did that. Her and DH got to have some alone time and when she felt like it was time for everyone to come to the hospital, we all did. That ended up being Monday night. We slept at the hospital and baby was born Tuesday morning.
Everyone is different but I would say either call people when you are in active labor or later on. My sister is an OB/GYN and when told SIL was being induced Sunday, my sister said "stay home, that baby isn't coming out until late Monday/early Tuesday."

Good Luck!! I was induced on Thursday, September 6th at 1:50pm, DS was not born until Friday, September 7th at 2:08pm a full 24 hours later. Def. advise people to stay away until you actively get into labor. My IL's were there from pretty much the beginning and they spent a ton of time in the waiting room and back at my house waiting for LO to get here.

Re: being induced tonight
have her stay home tonight. . cervadil is very mild and especially if you are not dilated yet it is very unlikely to do anything on it's own. . I was not a typical case but I had two rounds of cervadil, two rounds of cytotex and then pitocin and did not dilate until I had an epi. . so DAYS! I hope yours is WAY easier and smooth!!
good luck!!!
