Behr's Question
OK- so my furniture finally arrives. The guy puts the crib together and a screw breaks. He tells me I now have to wait for a new piece to be delivered. OK- then I notice something sticky on the crib- he says that looks like it will wipe off. Stupid me says ok. When he leaves I try wiping it off and I can't get it off. I looked over the furniture very closely when he was here but because there was a tag hanging on the end table I didn't notice a black scuff on the natural wood. Now I am so upset. I called and they are sending a service person on Wednesday to check everything out. How is Behr's with this kind of stuff? Anyone else have these types of problems and they were resolved with Behrs? I just didn't want to deal with this now. I was excited but now I'm bummed.

Re: Behr's Question
Oh man. Sorry that's happening. I'm not sure about their how they run things. I just ordered my nursery set from BRU and we're the ones that will be picking it up and putting it together. I just hope I don't run into any issues like dents, scratches and things missing.

Re: Behr's Question
I have no idea about the quality or service of the store you used, but it sounds like you received a floor sample if there were marks and sticky stuff on the furniture. I mean, if the crib was new out of the boz where would the marks or sticky stuff have come from? The screw, unfortunatley I could see that happening. I would see what the representative has to say and go from there. I am sorry that you have to deal with this.

Re: Behr's Question
It wasn't a floor sample. I watched them take the pieces out of stapled boxes. That is what I don't get. I just hate now having to wait until Wednesday. two of the three pieces they didn't even have in the store. I was all excited to set up everything after my shower tomorrow and now I don't want to look in the room.

Re: Behr's Question
I ordered from Behr's. There was a problem with the armoire (the draws wouldn't open) and within the next week I had a new piece in my house. I ordered it really early though to make sure I had everything in by my shower bc I would flip if it wasn't all ready once I got home from with the gifts. I can imagine how frustrated you must be!

Re: Behr's Question
The level of service may depend on what the manufacturer is willing to do to correct the problem. Wednesday will be here soon, I promise!!!!!!!!! Let us know how it goes.

Re: Behr's Question
I didn't have issues with my furniture the first time I ordered from them with my son. But i did just buy his big boy furniture from them and I had a few issues which I didn't notice until they left. It took them a week or so to come back but they fixed it. I guess it will depend on something they can fix themselves or if it is a manufacturing defect and it has to be re-ordered.
For me they set up my son's bed carelessly and crooked so the trundle part didn't work so they had to take it apart and fix what they did. Then the finish on the nightstand was weird in spots - not sure exactly what they did but they fixed it and it is fine. Also I was missing knobs (mfg's fault) and they were re-ordered and I got them in a week and we installed them ourselves.

Re: Behr's Question
I haven't received my Behr's furniture yet (it's in, but I'm holding off on delivery), but they have a very good reputation so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.
Part of the $100 delivery fee covers in-home repairs for the first year after delivery. They told us that if during that year a problem can't be fixed, they will replace it with a new piece.
I'm sure it will work out.

Re: Behr's Question
Thanks for the words of encouragement. After crying for two hours I'm ok today. Wednesday just can't come fast enough. I was just so excited to come home and set up the room after my shower today. It just kind of ruined the excitement. I'm glad to hear the problems people have seemed to be dealt with properly. I have had bad experiences with furniture in the past where it dragged on for over a year.
