Beech Nut Baby Food
Anybody feed them to their kids? I just got a sample from diapers.com and their new jars are so cute! Not that I would solely make my decision on that. When I feed my 7 month old from the jars, I usually use Earth's Best and some organic Gerber.

They are cute!
I had no problem feeding DD things as long as it was only fruits/veggies/water in the ingredients. No other additives/preservatives.

I pretty much only use Beech nut now. They are cheap enough I don't have to wait for sales and I can run to my local supermarket if I need them.

I used beech nut for my soy allergy son. I also used Earths Best.. Gerber landed him in the ER. They use soy as a filler in a lot of their foods. Not sure if they still do. (this was 2010-2011)

Beech nut is great for milk/soy intolerant! We used it all the time.

Thanks! It's just that I feel like the leading brands were earths best, gerber, and plum. There are so many new brands available now! I remember Beech nut from 2011, when my DS first started solids, but it never had much buzz so I was wondering about their product because it is a bit cheaper. I also like how their stage 2 jars are 4.5oz, my dd loves to eat and could have more than that in one sitting!

I used to use store brand baby food too...Target and Stop and Shop. If you read the ingredients it's all the same. Name brands only charge more because of all their packaging and marketing.

Re: Beech Nut Baby Food
We used beech nut or earths best when I didn't make it myself. Never gerber - they add soy to a lot of their products, and we have ethical issues with the nestle company politics and tactics.

Does anyone know which foods gerber puts soy into? I've never purchased gerber - we use earths best but I was gifted a ton of gerber veggies. Now I am afraid to use them!!

We were only ok with gerber organic. Anything else he couldn't have.

If there is soy in it they would have to say it on the label

They didn't have to when my son was on baby food. I called them and they told me they use it as a filler. Even now they are suppose to put it on labels, but I know a lot of foods that have soy in it and it is not on the label..
