Bedtime routine?
In trying to establish a bedtime routine...did you give DC a bottle and then a bath and put them to bed...or a bath, then bottle, then bed?

We have always done a bath, bottle, then bed. We try reading books to her in there but sometimes she gets so excited that she won't go to sleep!

when we can, we try to do bath, book, bottle then bed...
Uh-oh....I guess I have to tell DH he was right  
I insisted we do bottle, then bath, then bed...thinking that the bath would tire her out and she would go to sleep...however, she was wide awake after bath and didn't want to sleep

oh no!
He didn't want to do it this way...so I said fine, got watch tv and I'll take care of it by myself and he got mad. Now, I have to tell him he is right and he will never let me live it down

we do bath, bottle, bed. I find that most times she likes the bath, but sometimes she is cranky and the bottle calms her before we put her down for the night. We also swaddle after the bottle. It works for us and DD is almost 8 weeks. We do the same thing every night.
