Bedtime question (8-12 months)

What time does your baby go to bed? DD is 9 mos and I feel like she is going to bed later and later - like now we are at 9pm or later. Where as we used to get her down at 8-8:30pm. Anyway the later bedtime started happening when she started napping longer which seemed to push her whole schedule back. She used to do 45 min catnaps but now stretches them 60-90 min. Plus she just has LOTS of energy and can go long stretches of being awake and is quite happy. She has even made it on only 1 nap a day (was not a normal circumstance but she was fine.)

Between naps she does 3 hours of awake time but before bed she needs more awake time - lately its 4+ hours and still puts up a fight when we put her down. She sometimes will CIO and other times is fine and just rolls around in her crib for a bit...like 20 min and is asleep by 9-9:30. She then STTN for about 11 hours. I just need to get her down earlier so she doesnt get into bad habits and so I can have some "me" time. I am considering waking her from her long naps?

ETA a question - what time does nap #2 end and what time is bed time?

Usually between 7:30 and 8:30. There are times it's more like 9:30 though.

My DD (9 mos next week) goes to bed at 6:30 (can be pushed to 7 if need be) and sleeps for 11-12 hours.
She also takes 2 naps that range anywhere from 1 hour to just under 2 hours each.

Re: Bedtime question (8-12 months)

dd is 8 months today and she goes to bed at 6:30pm.
she takes 2 naps a day: 1 around 10:45 and 1 around 2:45 and combined, they usually total 2 hours of daytime sleep.

Bedtime question (8-12 months)

dd is 9 months--she is usually sleeping by 7, 730 the latest bc she is done.
she naps twice a day, after breakfast and after lunch.
she is an early riser though. and i can't get her to go to bed later bc she is too tired.

Bedtime question (8-12 months)

My dd 2nd nap of the day is from 3-4 usually sometimes 330-430. But no later than that. I wont allow her to nap after that. If shes fighting it then ishe doesnt nap.and she goes to bed at 730.. Bedtime is usually between 8-9. Closer to 8 most nights.

DS used to be a 7pm baby but the last month or so he's since pushed his bedtime back to 8. I try not to let him go any later. He naps one long nap in the morning (1 1/2-2 hours) and then a short cat nap (30-40 minutes) between 3-4. I will wake him up if he sleeps later than 4:15. Then he's up and happy until he goes down around 8. Like your DD, he needs 4+ hours awake time before bed.

Bedtime question (8-12 months)

My dd has been a 7pm girl since pretty early on... Now at 13 months, we do anywhere between 7-8 depending on how tired she is. On the rare occasion that we've done a 9pm or later bedtime (vacation, holidays etc), she has a much harder time sleeping well through the night.

She sometimes doesn't morning nap anymore (would usually be 9:30-10:30) but afternoon naps can be 12:30-2:30 if no morn nap or a little later if she'd had a nap already. IMO, they shouldn't be napping past 4pm or bedtime may end up being a bit more of a struggle.

dd's "done" time is pretty much 630 - evening is her crabby time regardless of her last nap.
I put her down for nap #2 230-3 depending on nap #1... sometimes she's up by 330, sometimes 430. Bedtime really doesn't change. Yesterday she slept until 455 - my mom was watching her - and she just moved bedtime 20min later.
dd's last wake period is always the shortest of the day.
