bedding question

so i know i am jumping the gun with this question... but i've had it on my mind for a while

of course the really nice comforter that DH and i registered for is already ruined this winter will only be our 2nd winter with it & it already has 2 rips in it and A LOT of pulls... we have so much $$ to put into the house to to get it ready for winter, so i thought about just dealing with it for one more winter and then buying a spring/summer bed spread and then buying a new heavy one for next winter

so my question is -- if you have a spring/summer bed spread that you use, could you post some pics so i can get ideas?
