Bed rest
Ugh !!!! So I have pre-eclampsia and my Dr. has me out of work effective immediately. I am 35 weeks and he is hoping to get me to 37 weeks. I am supposed to lay down on my left side. Ugh. We still have so much to do.

Re: Bed rest
I had this with my last pg, and am fearful of it happening again. Take care of yourself and the baby! I understand the need to get everything done (I am 33 weeks and am feeling the pressure) but everything will work out- you and the baby are the most important thing!

Re: Bed rest
luckily it's not too long a time... but i imagine that even two weeks could seem like an eternity if you have to stay in bed...

Re: Bed rest
It may seem like a long time but this could have happened sooner and then what! Hang in there, don't worry about anything else, things will take care of themselves.

Re: Bed rest
Those 2 weeks will fly by (from someone who experienced bed rest).
Take care of yourself and your baby. Everything else will get done in time. Do you have family that can help DH while you are laid up?

Re: Bed rest
Thank you all for the replies. I just feel really badly because there was so much I needed to get done at work. My replacement has no idea she will be taking over for me because she is on her honeymoon. In addition, her boss and one of our colleagues ALSO left on friday. (She has NO idea that anyone was leaving). I wrote out instructions as best I could but it is not intuitive. Oh well, I guess I cannot worry about these things.
My family are coming out tomorrow for the day. My DH is wonderful. I guess I will just order everything on line. I think my biggest problem is that my pregnancy is SO not shaping up to what I had hoped it would be.
I had continuous morning sickness until my 7th month. My baby keeps pressing on my spine causeing inflamed optic nerves. I have to see specialists and have all these tests to make sure that the pressure does not increase and now I will have to be induced. I guess I had hoped to go naturally without so much intervention and now I am realizing that is just not hapening. Sorry to ramble and thanks for listening.
