I can't believe what I heard this morning. How could JP Morgon buy them for $2 a share...that's absolutely frightening to me!

I know - but the fact that they had that much debt...
I heard they couldn't produce the cash for some of their transactions and if they weren't bought out there would have been dire consequences throughout the US economy.
China owns a 10% interest in JP Morgan Chase. I wonder what the implications of this is now.
And what happens when there isn't a buyer the next time something like this happens?

exactly. they are actually paying billions for the company.
But it is very scary that the "company" was worth less than it's building

there is ALWAYS a buyer out there!!
EXACTLY!!!! And, when you are in dire straits like BSC was, it doesn't matter who that buyer is.

They are actually VERY interested in the building. DH works for Bear (see other post).
