BC-Mini Pill
So I just got back from my 6 week checkup and since I'm nursing my doctor recommended I take the mini pill as form of BC. I have heard the BC in general may decrease your milk flow but he said that this mini pill will actually help increase my flow. Anyone know anything about the mini pill?

I've been taking the mini pill for two weeks but I haven't noticed any change to my milk. I pump and am getting about the same amount as I did before. I have been having breakthrough bleeding though, so I'm not sure if ill stay on it very long.

I hated the mini-pill due to all the breakthrough bleeding, mine lasted for as long as I was on the pill.
ETA: It did not affect my milk.

Yeah, he did tell me that I would have breakthrough bleeding. Is there anything else I can take that won't affect my milk flow?

As the others have mentioned, I heard that many women have breakthrough bleeding on the mini pill. My OB said he actually doesn't recommend it due to this. I don't have any other suggestions though lol. We used LAM last time but it's definitely not for everyone.

I was on the mini-pill for years. I never had breakthrough bleeding at all and I nursed for 9 months on it, so my supply was fine. I will definitely go back on it after I have this baby, since I'm not sure if we are done.

The mini pill didn't affect my milk at all. I had issues and it didn't increase or decrease it.
I would just give you a heads up that as soon as you start to wean or stop to call your OB ASAP and get on a regular pill unless you want another. That's how we got one of my DD's
