baths & bedtime routines
Ok, so DS is 9 weeks old and sleeps in 5 hour stretches during the night. I want to start a bedtime routine of bath, bottle, story, bed but he has sensetive skin and doesn't need a bath everyday. I do bathe him every other day now (especially since his hands are in his mouth all day long and he drools).
What do you think?

DS had very sensitive skin when he was a baby so I never used bath time as part of his 'routine'. Instead I woud clean him up on his changing table, get him into his PJ's, then I woud sit on the glider and feed him his bottle whie rocking him and read a story. I kept the bath out of his bedtime routine.

Ds is 2.5 and bath time is still not a part of his nightime routine. He gets a bath/shower whenever in the day there's time for it, which is usually with me before I go to work. I thikn you can easily skip that as part of a routine.

do one day bath w soap, one day just warm water...add in lotion time to your routine so he can get a mini massage in there + his skin stays hydrated

That's totally fine. DS gets a bath every other night - sensetive skin as well.
I do as a PP said and give him a clean up on the changing table. That's more than enough. Especially since they aren't running around getting dirty.

Hey Kerry, I just started a new bedtime routine that incorporates bathtime. I only bathe Ryleigh once every other day as well. On the off-nights, I take a warm washcloth with just water and wipe down her face, hands and neck. Then I use a little of the Johnson's bedtime massage gel and give her a little arm/leg massage.

I usually bathe them every night bc they enjoy it....they really "play" now and kick and laugh. I always put in burts bees apricot oil in the water to keep their skin nice and soft and then moisturize with it afterwards. They fall asleep so soundly and seem so comfy after their baths.

I do a bath with DS mostly every night, he really loves it, he lplays in the tub. He is usually asleep within the hour after the bath and a bottle.
