Bathroom Towel Question
Kind of a strange question...
Where do you have your hand drying towel in your common bathroom? What size is your hand drying towel?
I bought a towel ring for my common bathroom (the bathroom that guests would use) but it just didn't look right - there was no "right" place to hang it, plus for some reason the towel looked enormous hanging from the ring, like out of place
I was thinking of maybe getting a towel stand but I'm afraid my counter might be too small for one?
Is it bad to just place the towel on the counter next to the sink?
Should I hang it on the back of the door?
I don't have room for a towel bar - unless it goes above my toilet and under the cabinet I have above the toilet - but that seems kind of gross being right above the toilet
Any pics of what you have? I can't believe I am lost over where to put the hand towel!

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
I do two things. The every day thing I do is we have two small wash cloth size towels folded in a basket on the sink itself for use. When one is used, I drape over the sink, for people to realize they are to use them... When we have holidays or parties we also have disposable hand napkins and the towels. I know some people are gung ho on recycling and I know some people skeeve using a hand towel that someone has used... so we give both... HTH.

I like the idea of the basket...that sounds cute!
I think it was you that suggested knobs from Anthropologie for my bathroom - well I ordered them and they should be here tomorrow, I hope they are as nice as they look in the picture! If it was you thanks so much for the suggestion!

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
currently I have my towel (a hand towel) folded on the counter! We havent agreed on the type of rack yet so there it is!
I have 2 towel stands (they take smaller towels) if you want one or both! Thye are in the pile to be donated! They are chrome. I used to use them for decorative towels in my old bathroom.

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
I have a ring in my half bath, but in the full bath it is on the back of the door.
When guests are coming, I out one on the counter so it is obvious to them & they don't use the bath towels.

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
Is this for the bathroom you just painted?
In my downstairs 1/2 bath we have a towel ring on the wall to the left of the sink. I use hand towels not fingertip towels.
Upstairs guest bathroom, which is the same layout as the one you just painted, our towl ring which really isnt a ring, its more like an "L" shape is to the right of the mirror. Inbetween the mirror and toilet. It has always been there so, I never thought of it to look weird.
While I think the basket idea is cute. I think it's a PITA. I did that when my parents came out and stayed in the master bedroom. I have ZERO racks in there (well one above the whirpool bath). I wanted it to look cute so I rolled them and put them in a basket and it was just weird b/c my mom didnt know where to put them when she was done with them. She ended up leaving it on the counter anyway.
I vote for the counter bar. I think they are really cute!

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
I have a small hand towel size towel hanging next to the sink but I have a tray of paper hand towels resting on the sinks counter. I know I hate to use a hand towel in someone else's house, so that's why we have the pretty paper hand towels. I leave them out all the time because its just a guest bathroom

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
We have no place in our bathroom to hang a ring or rack so we keep it folded on the counter (pics in my album). When just DH and I are home, we will spread it over the counter or hang it over the shower rod to dry after we use it so it doesn't get too wet.

Re: Bathroom Towel Question
I have a towel ring on the wall by the sink. I change it immediately after a guest is over because it does make me feel gross to use it after someone other than DH.
