Bathroom tile floor?

If your bathroom floor is tiled, what tile design/pattern is it in????(diamond pattern, random, square ect...)
And what size is your bathroom?

I am tiling my half bathroom floor and cant decide if I want to use a typical square pattern, diamond pattern ect....

what makes the room look bigger?

Thanks

Re: Bathroom tile floor?

I have a hex floor - white with black, they look like flowers, and a silver-grey grout. My bathroom is 81 1/4 x 81 3/4.

Laying tile on the diagnal creates an optical illusion that the floor is larger than it appears.

I have a mixture of patterns in my bathrooms and in my kitchen... same tile as halfbath but different offset pattern.

In order... Master bath, hall bath, 1/2 bath, kitchen patterns

Re: Bathroom tile floor?

wow everything looks amazing....I have decided to do a diamond pattern for the foyer, a regular square pattern for the bathroom and a plain weave (it incorporates 3 different size tiles) for my kitchen and hallway. I just have to now make my mind up on the granite counter top and what backsplash to do for the kitchen Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Bathroom tile floor?

We just tiled our bathroom floor and every place we visited when looking for tile said laying the tile diagonally (or diamond) makes the room appears larger. We did our guest bathroom this way with large 12x12 and it came out very nice. The guest bathroom is very small. I think we only needed about 12 tiles or so. We are still working on it, adding finishing touches. See the pic below.
