bathroom floor spinoff

we've discussed different "quirks" that we might have.

the thread about cleaning the bathroom floor got me thinking about another one.

when dealing with floors (sweep/mop), i always find that as i mop i find small "particles" that didn't get swept up.

i wait for the floor to dry and then i sweep again. i call this "the clean dirt." i don't feel the floor is clean until i do this final step of cleaning the "clean dirt."

a few people i've mentioned this to have given me a funny look.

so, what's your "CLEANING QUIRK"

please share so i don't feel alone in my strangeness lol

I also either wipe the floor again with a damp swiffer or sweep it.

My quirk : I wipe the toilet and the seat with Clorox wipes. Always leaves some particles behind, so then I wipe again with a damp paper towel.
I also don't like my bare butt to be sitting on the chemicals

Re: bathroom floor spinoff

you know what's annoying?
That line of dust/dirt that is left behind when you sweep a pile of dirt/dust into the dust pan.
So you do it again- then another line forms.

I have a separate scrub brush and bucket for cleaning my bath tub. I refuse to use either for anything else. Also the thought of using a sponge to wipe my counters skeeves me even if it's for only the counter tops. I only use spray cleaner and paper towels.

Me too. Separate everything for the bathroom. And sponges are dishes ONLY. My cleaning lady does use a sponge for the sink and top of the stove. I leave her a new one each time and she knows to throw it out when she is finished. I also toss my sponge in the dishwasher a few times a week.

This has always been my quirk. I refuse to use a dust pan for that reason. So I swiffer the floor, pushing it all into a little pile. Then I dampen a paper towel and just wipe up the debris. (I wipe, fold, wipe again until I get every grain of sand.)

we never had a dustpan growing up. my mom would use a wet paper towel. i thought dustpans were an "american" thing.

Clorox wipes are the WORST for cleaning up particles! I always have to do a second cleanup afterwards! I shine/Dry my bathroom with a regular towel after cleaning everything up. Nothing cleans like that towel!
