Bathing Suit Question
Since its going to be very warm this weekend...if you are very visibly pregnant, are any of you wearing your regular bathing suit (bikini) instead of a maternity bathing suit?? I have always sworn I would never buy a maternity bathing suit and I am due very soon, so I am still not buying one now, but I'm trying to decide if it is ok to wear my regular old bikini in the pool. I wouldn't even ask if this was at my own house, but we'll be at my inlaws, so it won't be only my husband and kids seeing me! What are you ladies going to do??

Re: Bathing Suit Question
I couldn't fit into a regular bikini honestly, my chest is a lot bigger and I just am not comfortable in them pregnant. But if you are, go for it!!
I bought a simple black maternity tankini from target..its cute and it wasn't expensive ($20 for the top and i paired it with black swim shorts I already had).

Re: Bathing Suit Question
I wore my bikini in my backyard once. But I am pretty sure it disappeared when I put it on I don't think it would fit around 1 leg at this point. I went to the beach once so far and wore my maternity bathing suit and also didn't take my capri's off. My husbands friend and wife were there and its just not pretty! So I would go for maternity personally.

Re: Bathing Suit Question
This weekend I plan to wear a pair of shorts and a maternity tank top. I wouldn't personally be wearing a bikini this summer and a lot of those bathing suits are so matronly.

Bathing Suit Question
I couldn't fit into my regular bikini, but I bought a bigger size really cheap from walmart (I think it about $7 for top and bottom).

Re: Bathing Suit Question
I don't like the feeling of anything clinging to my stomach. as soon as I get home I pull my tank top up to the top of ny belly and walk around like that.
so I knew I couldn't stand wearing a tankini. that's why I got swim shorts and a bikini top that fit or I've actually worn just a sports bra of type to the beach before. it dries quickly and keeps the girls in place.
I just do plain black. it's comfy. function over fashion at this juncture.

Re: Bathing Suit Question
I got a maternity bathing suit from motherhood( kohls has cute ones too) A skirt bottom and tankini top which is very similar to my usual suits. I am only 5 months and we go o the beach/pool at least twice a week. I have a 4 year old so I wanted to not have to worry about over exposure while playing with him. I also didn't want to ruin my nice regular suits by stretching them out.

Re: Bathing Suit Question
Ok, so I'm glad a few girls are with me and will still wear a bikini! I think I am going to go for it and see how it looks! I'm huge (36 weeks pregnant) but I think my tops will still fit, maybe just with a bit more cleavage! I am not going to buy a maternity bathing suit at this point, so I'll just wing it! The worst that happens is I wear a cover-up over it. Thanks!

Bathing Suit Question
I haven't worn a bikini since our honeymoon so even before being pregnant I was in a tankini.
If I was that self conscious and didn't want to go out and buy a maternity top I would probably wear my regular bathing suit (if it fit) and throw a t-shirt or tank top over it. I bought maternity tankinis when we went away but there was NO SHOT my boobs were going to fit into my old stuff. And I can wear my maternity when I'm not pregnant (I made sure to ALWAYS buy stuff I can use during and after).
