Bath spinoff

Are hot tubs a no no? We are planning a baby moon and DH figures I can go to the spa while he does crazy sports god an afternoon. Would you get a prenatal massage in a foreign country?

I'm pretty sure hot tubs are on the no no list.

What country is it? That would determine my massage decision.

Re: Bath spinoff

You aren't supposed to be in water that's hotter than your body temperature -- so hot tubs are definitely out unless you're ok with them feeling cold/lukewarm. (yuck lol)

I wouldn't get a prenatal massage in a foreign country but I get nervous about those sorts of things. You can ask your OB what they think about it and go with their advice. Of course, I also wouldn't GO to a foreign country depending on where I was in my pregnancy. But I just wasn't up for a lot of travel while pregnant.

I honestly don't even know if you could do other spa treatments like mud baths or chemical peels or any of that stuff while pregnant. My gut says no, but I'm no doctor.

Since hot tubs keep their temp pretty constant they can raise your body temp which is no good. A regular bath starts to cool right away so it's okay.

Thanks ladies... I'll steer clear of the hot tubs. We're going to Prague and Austria and I think the spas should be ok there but I'll ask my OB what she thinks.
