Basset Hounds.........
So DH and I want another dog......
As much as we'd loooooove another lab we can't (well he can't, I can  ) handle another 90 pound dog.
I adore basset hounds - my cousin has one and both my kids fell in love. They are sturdy enough that Cosmo won't trample it and just so sweet.
Are they good with kids/other dogs?

My best friend growing up had one and he was GREAT with us. And we were rough on him! He was also one of the cutest dogs I've ever known in my life. Loved to play.

Our friends had a Golden and a Basset and three kids - no issues. (And the Golden was a sweetie but had some hyper/nervous issues - I think the Basset helped mellow her!)

DH and I came close to adopting one at North Shore 2 years ago, but we decided on another dog. I think they're adorable though!!
I've heard that they tend to have some eye and ear problems though. I don't really know though. But they're still so cute! Good luck.

my friend has one and it's very drooley and has a loud deep bark. Other than that she is a sweetie.
