Re: Basinett
It depends on if you are planning to have your baby sleep in your room in the beginning?
I have a bassinet that has been in my family for years and years and everyone has slept in it (my dad even slept in it when he was a newborn)
I know that alot of girls now are getting the co-sleeper and I have heard great reviews about that. It's really up to you and what you planning on doing with the baby once he/she is born.
Hope that helps a little!

Re: Basinett
I'm borrowing the one in my avatar from my BF. She has both pink and blue for it. I plan on having the baby in our room the first month or two, then the baby will be in the crib.

Re: Basinett
You don't need it if the baby will go straight to their crib. If you want the baby to sleep in your room in the beginning then you will need either a basinett, a pack n play or co-sleeeper.

Re: Basinett
We have one and will use it with my second child.
My daughter was only in it for 2 months and we then transitioned her to her crib no problem.
We plan on doing the same with this baby.
I loved having the baby in the same room -especially when they are so small - and it was more convenient to have her close because i breastfeed the first month.

Re: Basinett
I am definitely getting a pack and play so I am just going to use the bassinet part of it. One less thing to buy.

Yes, I realized after getting the bassinet that it will be more convenient too for breasfeeding.
