Barnum Woods/ or ISland trees Schools

We are looking at 2 houses one is in the Barnum Woods School District and the other is in the Island School district.
My question is does anyone have any feedback on either one of the schools.

I thought Island Park area goes to West Hempstead.

My DH grew up there and that is where he went to school.
If not its Long beach schools.

Barnum Woods is East Meadow SD, which is good. I would say the Barnum Woods section is one of the nicest. The only draw back is there isn't full day kindergarten. Island Trees is a small district. I don't know too much about the area though. HTH!

My parents live in Barnum Woods SD and its a great area. I did not go to school there since we all went to private school.

Our REA told us that Barnum Woods was now #2 in all of EMSD and that Meadowbrook is now #1, but BW was #1 for years. I dont know how true that is since we were not concerned with SD's when we were looking for houses.

I went to Barnum, and still live in that area of East Meadow, so obviously I'm partial. However, if you drive around this section of EM compared to others, you can notice a very slight difference. My sister was in the school until 4 years ago, and we both did very well.
