Baptism or Christening? Can someone tell me the difference?
I have to call our church to find out what their schedule is but what do I ask them? Do I tell them i want information regarding baptisms or information on christenings? I know this sounds stupid but I have actually procrastinated in making this phone call because i didnt what to sound like a dumbell

Either one is fine. My church (RC) used both terms.

Both mean the same.
I believe Christening is only use by the Catholic Church though while the Baptist Church (for example!) uses Baptism.
But priests will use both terms.
