Baptism gift from Godparent question....
My DH is the godfather so we are going to get the cross for his goddaughter. My question is do you buy a regular cross with the "adult" chain on it and then buy a childs chain or do you just keep the chain it comes with and pin it on? When DS was baptized we just pinned the cross on his outfit, but I wasn't sure if it was different for a little girl. We are going shopping in a little while, help!

I think DH specifically asked for a child's size cross and chain for his goddaughter. I'm pretty sure about that.

I got my niece/goddaughter a small chain so she was able to wear it for her baptism. We could always get her a bigger chain as she gets older.

I have a goddaughter and a godson and for both I bought an adult cross/chain but I picked one out that was on the smaller side and the chain was substantial enough but not too thick. Both babies wore the chains and crosses that day but I'm pretty sure they stayed inside their clothes except maybe for some pics. They were long on them but not rediculously long.

some where in between adult and child, you dont want a baby size they can bearly wear it.
