Bamboo
The house we recently bought has bamboo in the backyard. Our.neighbor had originally planted it. It is the quickest growing/spreading tree ive ever seen! No matter what we do it comes back. Anyone know what we should do? We are eventually going to have a landscraper dig it out but it only needs a small root and it grows back. My neighbor said he still has it pop of from time to time so I know even if we get it dug out it will come back. It is taking over our backyard please help!

Bamboo
We have the same problem. It's almost impossible to kill. I read online if you cut the stalk down you can pour vinegar to kill the shoot but you have less than 15 seconds to do it. People actually post on Craig's list to take it for free.

Re: Bamboo
I've been fighting mine for 15 years.... I'm able to keep it at bay to just along the edges of the property, but I've yet to get rid of it completely....

NY State is banning it, along with a list of other invasive species....

That actually won't work. Bamboo is known to grow through concrete, pools, basements, driveways, etc.....
