BALDWIN SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCK DOWN
Five schools in Baldwin have been put on lockout on the advice of police as a safety precaution, according to the district's website. The schools on lockout are Brookside Elementary School, Shubert Elementary School, Plaza Elementary School, Lenox Elementary School and Baldwin High School. It is not yet known what prompted the lockouts.

I asked my friend who teaches in the hs. She said there were robbers in the area but they got the "all clear" after an hour or so.

I work at the HS - it lasted less than half hour. The police were chasing some suspects and didnt want the students to be in any danger outside of the school and didnt want to take a chance that the suspects would try to hide in the school, so they kept the students inside. Not a big deal. They caught the guys quickly
