Bag for labor room

On top of your hospital bag for overnight stay - did you pack a seperate small one for when you are in Labor?

I'm so confused about all this...this has been the biggest stress so far for this pregnancy...getting the stupid bag right Chat Icon

I know DH can get things AFTER...but what do I need for the actual LABOR part of it?

So far I've come up with the following:

Hair ties
camera
mints

thats about it...Chat Icon I CLEARLY need help

Books/magazines
iPod
cards
DVD player?

I'm thinking anything to keep you occupied! You never know how long you might be laying there and having stuff to keep you busy will be a good distraction.

Re: Bag for labor room

I had a small bag for labor room. I had:
Ipod
Camera
Lollipops
Gum
Hair Ties
Magazines

My Mom also brought me a pillow from home which was SO much more comfy than the hospital ones.

Re: Bag for labor room

I did.
This way we didn't have to drag the whole bag into the labor room.

In the little bag I packed:

Listerine breath strips
Chapstick
(Both huge musts since they don't let you eat or drink and your mouth and lips get DRY!)
Those little Colgate Wisp Toothbrush things- also great.
Hair ties, clips etc
Camera

I forgot snacks for the DH- and I regret that. He was starving by the time it was over!
