Bad reaction from Huggies

I've always been a Huggies mom... Loved them with my first who is 4 years old now. Well my 9 month old just developed a horrible reaction to them! I bought pampers sensitive tonight & am going to start trying them tomorrow, hoping they work

Huggies were terrible for us. More so with my son. He developed an eczema type rash around the waist band area. GL!

Re: Bad reaction from Huggies

They changed something in them a few years ago. I was using them with my son and then one day he developed a bad rash.. I notified the company and all I got was a bunch of coupons...

Bad reaction from Huggies

Huggies didnt work for me either. Dd constantly had bad diaper rashes. I used them when she was an infant and stopped immediately. Stopped using them and their wipes, switched to pampers sensitive and all issues disappeared. And i was using huggies natural care or whateva the sensitive gentle one is.

Bad reaction from Huggies

We hated huggies. We only use pampers. When dd is developing a rash I immed switch to water wipes and use triple paste AF. Works like a charm and is the same day.

Re: Bad reaction from Huggies

Oh Lord! Thank you guys for posting this.

Vin and I were just commenting to each other, are we crazy or are these diapers causing him to develop a rash?!

What a shame! We use cream and it helps it, don't get me wrong, but who wants to have to apply cream constantly if normally it would be fine?!

I guess it is back to pampers. I had no problem with them - we only switched because the Huggies were cheaper and they sell them at Costco.

Re: Bad reaction from Huggies

Holy cow, we use kirkland which I heard is same as huggies. All of a sudden 2 months ago ds developed a horrible rash near the waist band on his belly. It wont go away we tried everything. Actually have dermatologist apt on wed. Now I am wondering if it is from the diaper. But hiw weird that he never had a problem until 8 months old.

Sounds exactly what would happen to my son with Huggies. His happened within hours though. I would switch diapers, I bet it goes away!

Same with us! DS developed a nasty rash. I recently bought a small pack bc we ran out and I needed something to hold me over till I could get to Target, and the diapers had a really bad smell to them after DS urinated. I could smell it through his clothes.

Let me ask a question. Have any of your kids gotten it really bad? My sons rash has been there for almost 2 months. I never thought it could be the diaper since he has worn the same brand since birth. I am getting pretty concerned hence the derm apt on wednesday.

Yup his rash is pretty bad-- all in the crease of his legs & around by his belly. He hasn't been in huggies all day & already it's 80% gone!! I didn't think it could be the diapers either since he has worn them since birth, but I'm convinced that's the culprit!! I did notice the rash was in all the areas of the elasticy part, which is blue when the rest of the diaper is white so I'm willing to bet it was something to do with that
