Bad cold
Merry Christmas!!
Just looking for some suggestions.... Have a terrible cold. Sent out dh for childrens Tylenol but he couldn't find any.
What else can I have? Can I use halls menthol throat drops? I always try to use natural remedies first, but its just not cutting it.
Thanks!!!!

Re: Bad cold
I never took anything for a cold, aside from cough drops and drinking plenty of fluids. You can use saline spray or a netti pot or just take a hot shower to relieve congestion.
Before you take anything, though, check with your dr. Some drs will ok some meds, but it's a personal choice. I made it through 2 colds this pregnancy not taking anything and I'm glad I didn't. It's a personal decision if you want to tough it out or take meds.

Re: Bad cold
I've been sick too and it's been Tylenol, ricola and Benadryl if I'm really uncomfortable. I take children's Benadryl 2tsp so half the dose

Re: Bad cold
I use regular Tylenol and menthol cough drops. And even though *technically* you're not suppose to but I always use regular nose spray. Saline spray is a joke and cannot handle the intense congestion.

Re: Bad cold
Again, check with your dr, especially if you're early on. Your baby gets passed every medicine you take. Robitussin is a category C and Benedryl is a category B. Just want everyone to be educated.
