Backyard Pictures

I would like to get some ideas for my backyard as it needs a HUGE makeover. Thanks :)

My backyard is plain, but I love it. It is perfect for parties and playdates.
We have a deck and a patio to the side of the deck. The rest is just green grass with some flower gardens around the edges.
We usually have a sitting area with firepit on the patio at night and DS's toys on it during the day.

What does your backyard look like? What would you like?

We are in the middle of redoing our backyard.

We should have sod installed today. Will take more pics once it's done. And the stairs are almost done as well. We bought a Gazebo also. We have couches for the Gazebo and our dining set will go under the 2nd floor deck.

My backyard is not that big, but not super small. The problem is that it needs to be rotatilled and all new grass needs to be put down. We also need to do some type of shrubs as it gets alot of shade because of 3 trees. I can't spend alot of money so we are probably going to do a little at a time.

there are a lot of great shade plants. check out this site. Link Blue Stone Perennials is a great site to buy plants smaller, they ship them to you and then each year they get bigger and bigger. Greenfreak has used this site over and over again and I believe she has been very happy with her plants. If you like Ferns, you can get Ferns for the shade. I don't have that much shade, so you need to use the "Planter Finder" to help you out. If you are on long island we are zone 7. GL! I FM'd you about sod also. HTH!
