Backup Names?
Dh and I have pretty much decided on the name for our . We love the name Grace, we can call her Gracie as a nickname. However, Dh feels like if she does not "look like a Grace" we should have a backup.
What are some good backup names??? Our last name starts with an "A" so no "A" names. Plus, I don't like unisex names so much. Any help would be appriciated. TIA
BTW: I LOVE the name Charlotte, but DH does not like it.

Re: Backup Names?
Beautiful name, if I do ssay so myself! We did not have a back-up. We never even considered anything else. I told DH I loved Grace and he agreed. We knew what we were having though so from the moment we found out we were having a girl we called her by her name. So she was Grace before she was even born and it suited her perfectly.

This is excatly what we have been doing since we found out she was a girl! Then, DH started with this backup stuff when we were on the plane coming back from Hawaii.

Re: Backup Names?
I wish we had a backup name but DH doesnt understand that concept and doesnt think that a child looks like a name he thinks a child grows into a name.

Re: Backup Names?
I think this might have been an issue if the name you chose was an ethnic one where it's possible the baby's looks might not match the name, for example someone mentioned Gianna. but, I don't think Grace is the kind of name that conjures up an image of a certain look so you're probably safe without a back up.
