Do you buy a whole new wardrobe or just needed pieces?

I just buy an outfit for the first day it's 2, then in October, I go and shop for new pants, new long sleeve shirts, stuff like that. School is still warm weather usually, so it's silly to buy when he can grow another inch. Plus more is on sale.

No. She wears summer clothes for a good month at least. I buy pieces here and there over time gradually

Thanks. I always buy clothes for dd piece by piece as needed so will just stick with that.

If I bought my DS new clothes to start out school with, he'd dig out an old shirt and insist on wearing it anyway.

He'll wear his summer stuff to start since it'll still be warm, but his fall clothing will be new, besides random stuff shirts/pants from the spring that still fit.

Oh and I usually do a lot of buying at once at the start of the season and then just buy stuff at random if it's something I/he really like.

I usually buy a lot of stuff on clearance the year before. So far I've been pretty good estimating sizes.

Usually just fill in. DS's sneakers are still fairly new, he's got a few pair of jeans in the next size up. What I need to stock up on is long-sleeved shirts because he outgrew a lot from last year.

Now that kids are older, they fit into last year stuff. So, I buy a few pieces and fill in as we go. The girl has grown, so will new leggings to wear under dresses (which is all that she wears).

They will get sneakers though. They will fit the ski jackets as coats from last year.

at 5 he can wear what fits and get new as needed. We will worry about "fashion" when he is older.

I get her a new dress for the first day and aside from that she wears what she has. Once the weather gets cold we'll go through to see what fits and fill in what she needs. I used to buy a few things here and there but now that she is super picky about what she wears it's easier to take her to one store and pick outfits out together. Otherwise I end up with a drawer full of stuff she won't wear and her picking out things that don't match.

Right now stores have huge 30-70% off sales so I get some basics. Once the school year starts I will fill in to see what my kids need.

I don't buy anything new for back to school. It's typically so hot and other than K, my kids haven't had classrooms with AC. I buy them new clothes for the fall for the change of seasons.

Just as needed. I try to stock up on clothes in the next size up when they're on clearance at the end of each season too, so I usually have a good start at least on what is needed.

I'm not buying anything early or in large quantities. DD jumped from a size 5 to size 8 in one year so I couldn't used any of the 6/6x clothes I bought in clearance.

I used to buy a whole new wardrobe. 2 years in a row D.C. Out grew things that still had tags on them and barely wore the shoes I bought. Now I only buy as needed, much Lexi expensive that way

I will admit I buy wayyy to much but I pretty much buy both my girls entire new wardrobes. I shop all year long. Ive been buying stuff for this up coming year since after Christmas. Now that summer clothes are on clearance I will get them some stuff to start school since it will be warm and I'll get things for next spring/summer. For shoes each girls gets 2 pairs of sneakers, brown& black dress shoes, and I'll buy them boots later in fall in black and brown.
