Back in the hospital...(kinda long)
and this time I spent the night in St. Charles Labor and Delivery. After I posted yesterday about the pressure/stabbing feeling I was having "down low" it progressed to ALL OVER and I was unable to stand up straight after a while. So, I called the dr. just to be sure and he told me to get to the hospital right away. So, off we went! After some blood work, about an hour of untrasounds, and fluids via IV they determined that it seems I might have had a combination of round ligament pain and a large gas bubble lodged in my intestines. They also think that my right ovary might've been twisted, which gave me a very sore feeling on my right lower side. At first they thought labor but that was quickly ruled out. Then they thought maybe kidney stones or gall stones. Then that was rulled out. Then they thought something with my appendix, but then that was ruled out.
They ended up keeping me for "observation" over night and released me this morning. I am still having some soreness, but nothing that is out of control.
On a happy note, DH and I got to hear for hours and his heartbeat was VERY strong! It seems that he didn't like to be "watched" because he kept kicking the fetal heart monitor. He was moving around like crazy and even changed positions (he is not in the breech position). All of the movement may have cause the round ligament pain.
Additionally, the nurses in the labor and delivery unit were awesome! So comforting (I was a bit freaked out that I was in labor at 27 weeks). I am actually looking forward to my stay in the hospital when decides to make his appearance.

I know!! When DH and I got up on the unit last night the nurse asked me if I have ever been there before because my name was familiar. Well, considering I was just hospitalized at St. Charles 2 weeks ago...I'd say she has a good memory!!!

Glad to hear i'm not the only one with a twisted ovary Krista. My left one has been for a while actually.. hence the reason Alicia has told me a few times 'Not to get my ovaries in a twist' when I get a little crazy!! lol.. Glad you're feeling better.. no more ER visits for you!
