Back from the doctor...Updated
and I am more confused than ever!
Prior to starting provera, I was on a 50mg clomid cycle and produce follies that were about 8mm, 12.5 mm, and 14mm. I wasn't progressing, so they decided this cycle was a bust, and I'd start provera. I took a 5 day dose of provera, and started spotting 7 days after - but only for one day. Then NOTHING! I went in today to see what was going on, and my uterine lining is THICKER than when I was on my clomid cycle and I have what looks like a 14.5mm follie. The PA was dumfounded - how after taking provera is my lining thicker and a 14.5mm follie present? She said it could be that the follie is actually a cyst, but won't know until my blood results confirm this. So now I wait to see if I have to start provera AGAIN or perhaps start on clomid. This is soooooooooooooo frustrating!!

Re: Back from the doctor...
Maybe 5 days wasn't long enough for provera, I always take 10 days. Or maybe your body is trying to tell you something else. Wait and see what your blood shows.

Re: Back from the doctor...
I thought the same thing about the Provera. It definitely seems that what you had was NOT AF.
Do you know what CD you are on? Maybe your follie will continue to grow!!!

I am on CD35. I would think the provera would mess up with the progress of my follie. I wish I knew what was going on - this is all sooo confusing!!!! The PA was shocked, too!

Re: Back from the doctor...
So the nurse called - said I have to come back in TOMORROW for blood and sono - ***? I asked her what was going on and she said they weren't "sure". I hung up annoyed that I didn't get more specifics and called and left a message for Dr. Brenner to call me back. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ETA: She did say there is a decent sized follicle (I guess it's not a cyst) on my right ovary - 14.5 mm

Re: Back from the doctor...Updated
Just spoke to Dr. Brenner....
He said my estrogen levels were elevated (which is good) which indicates that this "thing" might actually be a follicle. I have to continue going in for monitoring to see if my levels continue to rise AND if the follicle continues to grow. He said sometimes the provera can cause women to develop follicles This is all soooo confusing!!!
If I am not progressing, it just might be a cyst and we'll have to start all over again....
