Back from my sono...

I had my sono done by the office across the hall from where my dr. is. The tech couldn't find my left ovary!!! She then had another tech come in who found my ovary but couldn't get a clear shot. I was in such pain the entire time they were looking for that ovary b/c of all of the pressure of how they were pushing.
They got a really clear shot of my right overy and to me it looked like I had at least 10 big follies. She said the biggest was like 9x6 or something (don't quote me on that b/c I really don't remember). Anyway, she is going to have one of the nurses from my drs office look at the photos and then speak w/ my dr and I'm supposed to expect a call from him tonight telling me if I have the ok to take round 3 of clomid- and if so he'll call in a prescription.
So, my question of the day-- how big should the follies be? TIA!

I am very confused by what is going on with you lol. Are they follies or cysts? What CD is this for you? When did you finish your second round of Clomid? Did they take blood as well?

Mature follies are around 18mm.

Lol- join the club... me too. They said they were follicles. I'm on CD5... I didn't think that I should have any follies this early (big ones anyway). They didn't take blood today--- just a sonogram.
Good question as to when I finished my 2nd round. Like a week and a half or 2 weeks ago maybe? Maybe longer? I forget. They then put me on provera which I'm still taking but I got AF on Fri night/Sat am.

How many days have you been on provera? And you are just spotting, right? Not full AF?

Your follies are really small and they might be left over from earlier when you didn't have a good response to Clomid. When I did Clomid I had a bunch of follies under 10mm and based on that and my bloodwork they said the follies wouldn't get any bigger. So I took Provera for 10 days, got AF and no follies left at my CD3 sono. What I'm thinking is that maybe you haven't been on provera for enough days? It takes me 4-5 days after the last provera pill to get AF.

I don't know- I started bleeding on Friday night- I felt like I was getting AF on my own but they had me take the provera. I'm not done w/ the pills yet but I've been bleeding since Friday night--- light but def. there.
I actually didn't have any follicles as large as they saw today last month. 6x6 were as big as they got at my last sonogram.

The thing is though that you didn't O...so you wouldn't have gotten AF on your own.

And that's a good sign at least that the follies were bigger after they upped your dosage. 150 might work for you!

Let us know what the doctor says tonight.

Lol- good timing Carolyn. I just heard from my drs nurse. I told her that I had spoken w/ a friend of mine that had been thru this and that she (you) hadn't gotten AF until a few days after you had finished the provera. She said that was normal.
I told her that I had told the asst. and the technician today that I had gotten AF after being on the provera for a couple of days and that I still have it. She wrote everything down and then called the dr and then called me back (so once again I didn't get to talk to him).
She said that I have MY period now and that next I'll get the provera period. Sometime next week most likely. Then I'll call him again and we'll start all over again. Frustrating b/c today was a total waste of 2+ hours. This is so annoying... I had told the admin the story and I guess she didn't listen- so annoying...

Ugh that totally s*cks, sorry today was a waste. Weird that you got your own AF without O'ing, although maybe that's why it was so light.

Thanks- I really hope that this cycle takes. I don't know how much more of all of this i can take
