Back from my (almost) 38 Week Appt.
So, second week with the internal. Last week-- no biggie. This week- big ouchie!!! I wonder why it hurt SO much more-- maybe I am getting more and more sensitive?
Anyway, my doc is a little hard to follow-- he said something was low-- I assume he meant the baby?
AND, I am a fingertip dilated! I can't believe there was actually some progression. Although I know not much-- but, at least it's something.
He said everything that I am feeling now (a lot of symptoms that mimic 1st Tri symptoms), is prep for L&D...
I also asked him if there was any validity to having a similar labor/delivery like your mom... and he basically said no. Consider all the women (well, the two I know of-- my mom and aunt) in my family have gone at least 10 days to 2 weeks late, I was getting very nervous. I don't think I will go early, or even on time-- but, I am so not into being 2 weeks late.
I will be curious to see what happens next week. The following week, of course the week of my due date, I noticed he is out at a conference. So, I will need to see a different doc which is totally annoying and I assume if I do go that week, he will not even be on call. Whatever.

could be your hormone level or he was a bit rougher this time at internal. I found with last pregnancy sometimes the internal was more bareable than others. I cant believe 38 weeks  .. My ob is going away too .. and have to see his PA for my next visit. Hopefully we dont deliever when they are away.

yes-- I have been feeling a lot more "stuff" down there. I was hoping it meant something, but you never know!
