Back from Level II....
Very happy to report that unlike our level II last year, the baby is 100% healthy, everything looked perfect and baby is actually measuring 3 days ahead. The only issue that came up is that I have something called uterine artery notching....it has something to do with blood flow. Doctor wasn't overly concerned, said my results were sporadic, and they'd like to see me at Northshore again in 2 weeks and 4 weeks and regularly after that for growth sonos. I guess it puts me at an increased risk for preclampsia and for having a small baby. He said if I wasn't already taking a baby aspirin daily he wouldve recommended that I start (good thing I've taken them all along!). He thinks this could have something to do with me having Lupus....but regardless I'll have the extra monitoring so they're on top of it. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Oh and I decided to change OB's since at 21 weeks along they just realized today they never did my prenatal bloodwork!! (not the genetic screening tests but the bloodwork they usually do around 8 weeks when you're admitted as an OB patient). I just can't take that kind of disorganization, so I switched (I was debating switching to my old OB before this, so this just put me over the edge! lol). Hopefully this notching thing regulates itself in the next month so I don't have to worry about it, I will be a nervous wreck if I have to worry about delivering early!! I am trying to stay away from google since there always seems to be some horror story out there and I can't compare myself to some extreme scenario. I wish we didn't have to deal with this, but honestly our biggest concern was having a healthy baby and so far we do, so I need to stop worrying! (right??? right! lol)

Phew! Good to hear!! How far along were you when they noticed it and did it become normal at some point, or did it just not become an issue? Thanks for sharing!!

About 26weeks. I had appointments every week for a few other reasons. It wasn't always noticed but I do remember it still visible at 36w so I think it was to the end. My OB also said it was nothing to worry about really but they would monitor it. Could be a sign of gestational diabetes or a precursor to pre-e. I never had either :). DD was born at 38.6 weeks weighing 7.6lb so perfectly normal.

Re: Back from Level II....
Yay! Glad you are growing a nice healthy baby! Don't worry too much, esp if the doc didn't seem concerned.
