Back from doctor
I'm 3cm dialated and 80% effaced. What does it all mean? Her head is also very low. This labor thing is so unpredictable!

do you really want to know what it all means?
your cervix has to get both wide and thin.
the effacement is the thinning out- 80% means you are 80% thinned out.
3 cm is how wide your cervix is, you need to be 10 cm to be "ready"..
so you are well on your way!

Thanks. I know she said I'm making really nice progress - there is just so much uncertainty with it all!

I was 3cm and about 70% effaced the day I had my last docs appointment.. that night I went into labor! but of course, everyone is different..
you just never know but its a great sign!!!!!!!!!
