Back from a week at Hershey
I make it a point to not talk about going away on vacation on a public forum, but once I'm back, I don't mind talking about how much fun we had.... 
Spent 8 days in the Hershey area. Got season passes, so whenever we didn't have anything else planned, we just stopped in for a while. We spent about 4 days in HP. Spent one day at Dutch Wonderland. Visited two local children's hands-on museums, went to a clock and watch museum, did the Turkey Hill Experience, toured the Hershey Garden, and went to Amish country.
Took well over 1000 photos, plus some video clips.

Nice! Sounds like a great trip! My family is going to DW in late August for two nights. We're looking for something to do the second day- do you suggest the museums for kids aged 1.5 to 2.5 years? What is the Turkey Hill experience? Welcome home!

The Hands-on House is great for smaller kids. The other museum we went to was more science oriented, so toddlers won't get a whole lot out of it.

The Turkey Hill Experience http://www.turkeyhillexperience.com/ gives a little history and insight into their ice cream making and iced tea making processes.
You can "milk" a "cow", create virtual ice cream flavors, packaging and a 30 second commercial, then they email you the link to see what you've created.

DW pretty much had an active day (Hershey and DW) followed by a non-active day (Amish Country, Turkey Hill, Clock museum, etc).
She also made sure we had several indoor activities, so that if it was very rainy, we had things to do.

We wanted to get to the Turkey Hill Experience but we never did, however DD is only 2 so I wasnt sure if it would be for anyway.
Where did you stay? As you saw in my other post we were at Eden.

Where did you stay? As you saw in my other post we were at Eden.
We stayed at a LaQuinta. Super cheap (under $50/night since we got the weekly rate). We spend so little time at the hotel, we just need some beds and a place to store our stuff. Plus, they had free continental breakfast, so we could roll out of bed and get some food before we headed out.

Shawn, was that you I passed????  That looks like the Hands on House next door to Landis Valley Museum. I think I did pass you!!! That's the way I go to our Grandson's, to take him to the pool. Mary

Yup, that's the place. Really cool place for the kids. We always look up the local children's museums whenever we travel, since most of them have reciprocal season passes. Since we belong to the LICM, we got into here for free, we've been to one in Boston, one in Maine, and one in Oregon.
I wouldn't be surprised if I saw several LIF members while we were there...

Hands-on House - old enough to be mobile
Turkey Hill Experience - 5 or so. DD is 5, and she liked parts of it, but a lot of it was well over her head.
DW - older than a hand-held infant. There are a lot of rides for very little kids. DS is 8, and he had a blast as well, so it's not just a toddler park. I'd guess after 12 or so, when the "teenage angst" stage starts to kick in, they may not like it as much.
Amish country - 5+ DS like parts of it, and DD liked the horses, but I'm not sure if either one really grasped the whole concept.
Clock and Watch Museum - 7+ DD seemed bored with most of it, but DS was interested in the mechanics of the clocks and the movements of the internal workings of the timepieces.
HP - all ages. Plenty of smaller rides for toddlers, lots of stuff for adults, and everything inbetween. Even infants may like ZooAmerica.
