babysitting charges

last minute i found a babysitter for this weekend.

I called my daycare and one of the women there was able to babysit at her house. My son is 3 months old and she watches him at daycare.

I asked how much she charges and she basically said, she doesnt have a fee but other moms pay her $10 an hour, $12 an hour and another family $16 but thats for 2 sons.

What is the going rate? and hwo much should i give? She will watch my 3 month for about 6 or 7 hours sat night

I pay between $12 and $15/hour for 2 boys. I usually just round up ........

for a 3 month old that will probably be sleeping most of the time, I'd round down closer to the $12/hr mark
