Babysitter/nanny great neck
Hello all - I'm not an active poster, I was during my pregnancy. I'm in desperate need of a good babysitter for Mondays and Wednesdays in great neck. 2 kiddies - 3 and 6 months. Anyone have recommendations? I tried care.com but wasn't thrilled. TIA!

I live in Great Neck. Every time I go to Grace Ave. park I get approached by nannies asking if I need one. I would go there and talk to some of the nannies. They could prob recommend someone.

That's how I found my first nanny and she was amazing. Thank you for the reminder. I need sunny skies this week to make it happen.

Just find them at the library if it isn't sunny.

I got good people from care.com Another source would ba a church/ other house of worship Personally, although it is more expensive, an agency would probably be a bit safer than getting someone in a park.

Not really. It's the "word of mouth" approach, which IMO is just as good as an agency. It's not like you hire the person on the spot without checking references, etc!
