Baby's weight at 33/34 weeks
I had a growth sono Monday and our little is already measuring 5lbs at 33w 5d. The doctor said she's on the bigger side and should be close to 8lbs at birth. I'm really tiny and so nervous now I won't be able to have her vaginally. I was a 6/7lb baby and so was DH. Anyone else's baby measuring 5lbs this early?

I just got back from my sono. I'm 33 weeks 2 days and the baby weighs 5 lbs. 5 oz. I think I need to lay off the Twizzlers.

No idea how big my baby is because I don't get a growth sono until 37 weeks ( ) but I've read in a bunch of books that it doesn't matter how big YOU are in terms of you delivering vaginally. It has to do with how your pelvis spreads, what position the baby's in, etc., so even if you're petite and have an 8+ pound baby, it shouldn't matter.

This is true! A woman I work with said 3 of her 5 kids were 10 pound-ers and she is like 5 ft nothing on a good day!

Re: Baby's weight at 33/34 weeks
my son was 5.5 lbs at 32 weeks. He was born at 40 weeks 4 days weighing 10 lbs 2 ozs.
My SIL is very tiny (5 foot tall) and she had no problems delivering a 10 lb baby.
