Baby's Taste Buds???
I just read my pregnancy ticker and it said:
"Watch what you eat. the baby now has taste buds."
Does this mean that the baby can taste the foods I eat? What else does this mean for the baby or for me?

Im 20w and read that in my book recently so Yes, your baby can taste what you eat.

My understanding of it is that the flavor of what you are eating is in the amniotic fluid and since the baby is swallowing some fluid they taste what you eat to a certain degree

This I can understand, but full on tasting I don't get. Still not going to make me question what I eat though.

Yup, I've heard of it too. My MIL ate wonton soup every day of her pregnancy with DH, and he LOVES any kind of chicken broth based soups (especially wonton). A study was done with pregnant women who drink carrot juice daily and when their babies were started on food they LOVED to eat their cereal in carrot juice.

I ate Mexican food at least 3-4 times a week when I was pregnant with DS and he's the pickiest eater EVER but I can practically give him any Mexican food (even quite spicy) in front of him and he will eat it so I believe it!
