What about a B&B on the coast somewhere in New England?

Re: Babymoon in the US?

We're going to the Breakers resort in Cape Cod when I'll be 20 weeks, it's roughly a 5 1/2 hour drive for us. And there was JUST a sale on sniqueaway.com last weekend for a Cape Cod resort too! (I think it was $99 a night, it's like a groupon for vacations).

Otherwise I'd recommend Charleston SC, such a cute little romantic town!!! I went last year in the first week of June, but it was a little too hot by then (for me anyway!). If you can find something for May that's a great time to go. We stayed at The Lodge Alley Inn, it was in the heart of everything. You can walk everywhere, no need to rent a car, I wish I was going back there this year!!

Re: Babymoon in the US?

We went to Asheville, NC two years ago when I was around 16 w pregnant (it was for our anniversary but also our little 'babymoon' trip) and had such an amazing and wonderful time. It's a lot closer to us though than to NY. But it's a wonderful little town with lots to see and we stayed at a hotel with a pool and just had such a great time relaxing together. I think a trip somewhere like Newport, RI would be comparable and so much fun!

I second this!!!

Wha about the Florida Keys or maybe that is too hot already?

I have heard good things about Cap May Nj and they have some nice B&Bs!

Re: Babymoon in the US?

Can I ask the reason your dr. said no international trips? I have never heard of this before.

If I could only go in the US with DH, I would go to Cape Cod, Florida Keys, Arizona or California

Im having twins and considered high risk. He wants me near an area that has good medical care just in case. im sure he's being overly cautious but DH and I are on board. We've done a lot of traveling abroad in our first few years of marriage so I dont mind keeping it in the US.

I was thinking Fla Keys.. but couldnt find a hotel that was nice and reasonably priced.
Il check out NC... maybe even Cape Cod since we've never been there!

Thanks!

Re: Babymoon in the US?

I love cape cod. It's a trip we've been doing every yr since being married. So much to see and do! We like to stay in Hyannis. You could make a day trip up to Provincetown another day take the ferry to Martha's vineyard. Go see a double feature at the drive in movie theatre. Go whale watching etc. Even with all that, it's always a relaxing trip for us. It's serene... Can't explain it!

Hi! when we go to Cape Cod in June we're heading to Dennis Port, do you know anything about that town? And do you have a whale watching tour you'd recommend? Thanks! (and sorry to the OP for crashing w/ my questions!).
