Baby Schedule Advice

DS is 5.5 months old and we just started fruits and veggies. He has been having oatmeal/rice cereal once a day for the past month. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on how/when during the day to introduce fruits/veggies. This is what his schedule looked like:
7am-7oz bottle
9:45am-oatmeal or rice cereal
10:15-4oz bottle
1pm-5.5-6.5 oz bottle
4pm-5.5-6.5oz bottle
7pm-7.5oz bottle

Yesterday I tried cereal/sweet potatoes twice and I feel like his whole schedule got screwed up (first time mom anxiety here) and he was majorly cranky.
7am-7 oz bottle
9:45am-rice cereal/half jar sweet potato
10:15am-3oz bottle
11:45-4.5oz
3:30-6.5oz
5:30-oatmeal/half jar sweet potato
715-7.5oz bottle

What were your schedules like when you introduced food? I feel like I'm feeding DS the entire day! Should I expect DS to drop a bottle? My doctor really didn't give me any guidance! TIA

Baby Schedule Advice

Your ds should not drop a bottle. DS was/still is getting 16 ounces at daycare.

My almost 7 month old still does not have a schedule (he kinda has a routine) so I am no help there. Maybe yesterday was an off day? Maybe he didn't like the sweet potatoes?

When we introduced food, we did a half jar with oatmeal in the morning and then quickly added a half jar with oatmeal in the evening. Within 1-1.5 weeks, he was having a full veggie jar with oatmeal at night. We did about 4-5 veggies and then started fruits. At almost 7 months, he has a fruit jar with oatmeal in the morning and a veggie jar with oatmeal plus half a fruit jar at night.

Re: Baby Schedule Advice

my ds is 6 months old and here is his schedule

6am - 8oz bottle
9:30 - cereal or oatmeal
10am - 6oz bottle
1:30pm - fruit or veggie
2pm - 6oz bottle
5:30 - fruit or veggie
6pm - 6oz bottle
8pm - 8oz bottle and bed

i was told to introduce new foods in the morning just to help detect any allergies. so for us, i introduce something new at the 1:30 feeding. since you only feed 2 meals a day i would try doing the fruit/veggie in the morning and the cereal/oatmeal at night
i think you have to play around to see what works and doesnt work for your baby, but i would try not changing around his bottle schedule since it seems to work. i would just add in some food 30mins before one of the bottles. see how he does with the bottle after the feeding and if you need to decrease it an ounce or so go for it...i just would be hesitant to cut out a bottle all together
