Baby Photography - Cost?
I was just wondering what the cost is for those really special baby photo shoots, a la Anne Geddes?
I hate to ask a price question (hope it doesn't come across as tacky), I just want to plan ahead for the cost since I really want to do this when LO comes out.
Also, when is the best age to take those newborn shots? Sleeping, hands propping up face, etc. LOVE THEM!

i just looked into this and got pricing from a few photogs ranging from 200 to 600. the shoots are usually done within the first 2 weeks of the baby being born since that's when they're most flexible and are able to get into those adorable poses!

The photographer I'm using has a $150 sitting fee and has different print packages. I want to have all of the digital files and she charges $375 for them. A little expensive but I fell in love with her style!

You can get anyone from $150 to almost $600 or more. I wouldn't pay much less because then you aren't guaranteed quality and to have to redo it...well they don't stay that little forever.
In terms of time, no more than 10 days, because you still want them to curl up like they did in the womb, and you want them to sleep so make sure you or the photographer has a heater to keep the room warm and schedule the appointment around the time the baby is feeding/nap time.

I paid 300 for the session and I got all prints, edited, color and black and white. I also got all rights to the pictures so I can have them printed anywhere. I did not have to purchase through the photographer. So it was 300 for everything. I love all my pictures and she was sooooo good with Anthony
We used Lexi-Bella photography! Loved Maria!!!!

Depending on who you use -- they can range from $175 to $1500.

Ours was $125 for a CD with all the pictures and rights to them. I loved them, they are in my Lauren Elizabeth album. I plan on doing it again with this new baby as well. They came right to my hospital room the day after she was born.
