Baby not moving as much
I checked the HB & it is strong, but for the past day or 2 I have not been feeling the baby move as much. Is this common? (I am 23w)

Re: Baby not moving as much
I know the baby will have active days and not so active days....as long as you feel her moving I would not worry. If you notice a significant drop in movement, I would call the doctor just to be safe

Re: Baby not moving as much
i have had this problem and they put me on the monitior and she is just sleeping, the dr. said tehy have days where all they do is sleep, but if concerned to have something sweeet like soda, choc. and lay on her left side with no noise at all and really concentrate on your belly to see if you feel at least 4 movements, if not then call! good luck!

Re: Baby not moving as much
My doctor told me that variations in the amount of movement are very common...

Re: Baby not moving as much
I've been thinking the SAME thing! I'm also a little over 23 weeks and some days, I can feel the baby all day. But yesterday and this morning, nothing
DH was talking to my belly last night and the baby kicked 2x (but that's all we got!)

Re: Baby not moving as much
I could have written this last week. I was getting really worried but friends told me it was normal. That's why I was SO excited to post about my bouncing baby belly the other day -- so I think it is kind of like the calm before the storm.
I was told it is very common,,... and I think you are like a week behind me.
ETA- Yup, you are a week and a day after me!! So give it a week or so and you should feel it stronger and differently than before.

Re: Baby not moving as much
I find my baby likes to have two days on and two days off.
For two days straight the little guy is doing the 48 hour mambo. Lots and lots of movement.
Then for two days, it's like he's recouping.

J/k. That is good to know though. I forgot to ask Dr H last time I was there what to look out for with the movement.

I barely felt ANY movement at 23 weeks! I am 28 weeks now and I get big stretchs of time time where he is a little madman and then where he must be sleeping.
It's funny b/c I feel like I am getting a little taste of his personality.

Re: Baby not moving as much
I'm not anywhere near there yet so I can't speak from personal experience but, I did read in one of my books that until 28 weeks the movement of the baby would not be felt consistently. Hope this helps a little

Re: Baby not moving as much
I posted about that last week as well - I was concerned because there are days where the baby just stirs rather than kick my belly out....
