Saw this on Yahoo this morning. Thought it was interesting:
The top 10 baby names from 1950 look nothing like today. Here's the list from 1950, according to the U.S. Social Security Administration:

I would venture to say that today's most popular names are more similar to the early 1900's than the 1950's.
