Baby movement at 39-40 Weeks
Of course I am probably just paranoid but I just have to ask.
My OB over here says 10 movements in a day is the minimum that I should be feeling.
The last few days the baby has been really quiet. Maybe 13-15 movements total that I can recognize.
My due date was yesterday so I'm sure the baby is getting squished in there.
What do you all think, is this normal for being 40 week 1 day or should I call? If I call they'll make me come in for monitoring...

Sounds like you are at and above the expected movement count. I am so worried about this that I created a chart...I've been hitting about 11-18 episodes per day (there could be several kicks/punches per episode)...and this includes any time that I feel one overnight when I'm awake. I don't know if they mean 10 per day as in a 24 hour day or during "THE" day (waking hours). Anyway, if you are concerned, definitely call...take no risks with this if you feel worried. But it does sound like your baby is moving around just the right amount.

Yes I think you're right. They mean in a 24 hour period. I just went from having an EXTREMELY active baby to one who doesn't move all that much, and I guess I can't help but feel a little worried.
I'm just sitting here waiting for something to happen! You must be doing the same thing - isn't your due date very soon!!

Due on Wednesday....the waiting game suks. I am terrified of being induced too. I hope it doesn't come to that. I'm trying to stay busy but it is hard.....so, I just sit here and count the minutes and the movements like a crazy!!!! Haha.

I would call for piece of mind especially since you mentioned that the baby used to be extremely active. Most of the time it's probably nothing but why blow it off and chance that small percentage that there is a problem, kwim?
ETA: A common problem after you go past your due date is your fluid level starts to drop which could contribute to decreasing movements. If it gets to low then you'll need to be delivered.

I agree that you should call your doctor.
I'm not 39 or 40 weeks yet... I'm 37 weeks, 4 days - but my doctor has been having me do kick counts since 28 weeks.
I'm supposed to lay on my left side 1 hour after eating and makes sure that I count 10 kicks within 1 hour. He hasn't mentioned this count changing at all as I get further along. He said that if I didn't feel 10 kicks within that hour to eat a snack and then try again for 1 more hour. If I still didn't feel 10 kicks, he said to go to the hospital.

I actually almost called yesterday about this. My little guy was super active and now barely moves. I found drinking a glass of chocolate milk and laying down got him moving. Then I relaxed. But I had gone hours without feeling a thing. I am 39 weeks today. I had my daughter at 38w6d and felt her until the very end. So it scared me.
Just keep track of it, and call if you are worried. It can never hurt to call.

Your baby should be moving as much as always BUT the movements won't be as big or as noticeable. Lie on your left side after having something to eat and if you haven't felt something after a while (I would say 20-30 minutes) then I would call. The movements will feel more like shifting and squirming than kicking at this point.

Well ladies, the baby must have known i was writing this post because as soon as I went to bed last night he/she did NOT stop moving all night. So much so that I was staring at the ceiling until 4AM. 
I did do the kick test with OJ (wish I'd had stuff to make chocolate milk, mmm!) and I got a few kicks so I felt better.
I guess I'm already a paranoid mother....
Thanks for all the advice - you all made me feel much better!!
