Baby Movement- 3rd trimester
I always hear/read about women feeling a lot of pain from the baby kicking in the ribs, pelvic area, etc.
This never happens to me and I feel like I'm the only one hahaha. I'm almost 32 weeks. I feel movement everything day, and some are definitely strong, but never any pain. I never wake up from her kicks, and they don't bother me at all. I love them and actually wish I could feel kicking more.
My husband has only felt her a handful of times because she'll move quickly, than usually stop.
Anyone else like this? I also never see body parts like I know people say happens later on...

Re: Baby Movement- 3rd trimester
I actually posed the same kind of question around week 31/32.
Do you have an anterior placenta? I do, so I felt less movement. I used to only feel the movements on the sides when I was lying on my side. The baby's kicks never hurt and never woke me up.
But now, at 35 weeks, I feel the baby a LOT more since he's getting bigger and putting on more muscle. This morning, the baby must have startled himself awake, so I felt this big "SHAKE" inside that woke me up. It was cute! Baby kicks still don't generally wake me up, but I feel them a LOT more during the day now. In fact, I feel them a lot now when I'm sitting as opposed to when I just felt them when I was lying down. I love it!
Maybe your baby just has to grow a bit more to feel them better?

Re: Baby Movement- 3rd trimester
I don't have an anterior placenta, everything's normal, and my situation is kind of like yours. I'm 34w and while I feel the baby kick - a lot - it's never painful and never in my ribs. Sometimes it's hard to drift off to sleep because her movement is so strong, but I've only woken up from it a few times. I think she's just kind of comfy cozy where she is, and squirms around a lot, but doesn't really explore up or down.
And I would LOVE to know what body parts I'm feeling - I have no idea what's a foot, what's a hand, what's a knee... or maybe a head... But I don't get another sono until 37w and definitely don't see the shape of a foot or anything when I see a kick!
It's all normal. Keep enjoying the movements!

Re: Baby Movement- 3rd trimester
I'm almost 38 weeks and just started to feel the baby near my ribs. Doesn't hurt to bad though. I also don't wake up from kicks but I just like to think that he or she is sleeping when I am and is going to be a great sleeper. :)

Nope,at first I thought I must have anterior placenta, but I don't. I do feel her throughout the day (usually laying down, but sometimes when I'm sitting).

Thanks for sharing! I guess she's just cozy too! I try to guess what body part I'm feeling, but I have no clue!! hahahah I just love feeling the movement, and I guess I should be happy it's not painful :)

Re: Baby Movement- 3rd trimester
With my first pregnancy, my son was VERY active- constantly rolling around and kicking and punching and it never once hurt me! I always heard people say that too- that, the bigger the baby got, the more painful the kicks were, and I always wondered why his never hurt me! And he was a good size too- 7lbs12oz when he born. I used to LOVE watching my belly move all around when he would roll over or change position, but I never knew what was what!

No, this child is trying to destroy my insides before exiting. It kicks me in my ribs and my bladder sometimes so hard I literally jump. I'm almost 34 weeks.

Sounds like me. It just doesn't hurt. It kind of tickles! Last night she actually had some strong ones that made my stomach REALLY move a lot. Soooo cool to watch it. It's really my favorite part of pregnancy.
