Baby measuring small??

Anyone diagnosed with IUGR earlyish in pregnancy? I'm pretty sure that is where things are going for me...baby went down to the 5th percentile and has remained there for several weeks...my regular obgyn doctor had me moved to a high risk obgyn practice that delivers at Stony Brook because he felt it was the best place to deliver and wanted me under a high risk's care that would also deliver me (I was at Good Sam MFM and planned to deliver at St Charles). I'm 24 weeks now. I have an ultrasound and consult with my new practice tomorrow and hopefully a game plan will happen then. Anyone BTDT?

My close friend went through this- she was monitored very closely and it was discovered that she had a single artery umbilical cord. She was put on hospital bed rest at 34 weeks and induced at 35 weeks. She has a very happy and healthy 20 month and old.

My one twin had IUGR... not really caught because the difficulty in measuring twins. No growth from 32-36 weeks. I delivered him at 36, they estimated both twins to be born around 6lbs... needless to say he came out 3lbs...he’s now 18 months, extremely bright and very active! Talks all day, runs, jumps etc. he did have very low muscle tone at wavier bht 14 months of intense PT 3x weekly, he’s doing amazing and was discharged! He was in NICU 10 days at st Charles. Trust me you will be in better hands with stony brook! He’s 18.5 months and 21lbs so still small but his brother was 5lbs at birth and 23 lbs I have very active twins and they love fruits so the doctor isn’t concerned! I think with a single pregnancy your doctor will be able to track growth and measurement. As long as you are continuing to feel the Abby move, try not to stress, I’m sure you will be in good hands with stony brook!

Dd2 was iugr but it seemed to come on later and we never even quite got to the diagnosis before she was born. At 34 weeks my fundal height was a few weeks behind so they scheduled an ultrasound the following week. The night before that I ended to delivering bc of another complication and baby was 4.0 lbs at 35w4d. I delivered at SB thankfully and they were amazing. Dd was in the nicu a little over a week but mostly for other complications. Her size thankfully wasn't much of an issue and she came home still 4.0 lbs. I was able to breastfeed and pump but she needed fortified breastmilk for some of her feedings at first. She did great once she was home but at 3.5 she's still a little bitty thing. Good luck and if you have any questions about SB or the nicu if it looks like you'll need that let me know but you and baby will be in good hands.
