Baby measuring small?
I had a sono done today and I'm 11w2d. The baby measured 1.5 inches. On my tracker it says the baby should be 2 inches. The dr. didn't mention anything but now I'm thinking is the baby too small? I'm guessing all babies grow at different rates but the difference between 1.5 and 2 inches seems like a lot to me.

Don't worry about it. Throughout your pregnancy you will find the baby grows at all different rates. Sometimes my babies were measuring ahead of me, sometimes behind, and sometimes right on target. They all grow at their own pace. Don't worry yourself unnecessarily, if your OB was concerned at all he would tell you.

Re: Baby measuring small?
I referenced something I read in a book and my dr yelled at me! Don't go by what the book says, just listen to your dr!

Baby measuring small?
The tracker is just a guestimate on the average a baby should be.. I would not think much of it.. I also used to refer back to my tracker after an appt and it was never on target although the doc told me I was measuring right on the mark I still always thought why isnt it the same as the tracker.. but they say don't go by that at all..

Re: Baby measuring small?
In my rational mind I knew that the doctor would have said something if he was worried. Thanks for the reassurance, now I can stop worrying about that 1/2 inch difference!

Re: Baby measuring small?
Definitely dont go by books or the internet. If your doctor didnt say anything, then that means he found that acceptable. Try not to worry about a number. Its the big picture that counts.

Baby measuring small?
Don't stress. Dr would tell you if there was an issue.

Yes, I think the doc would tell you if it was an issue. My tracker was always a little off from what the doc said but doc said baby is measuring exactly where it should be.
