Baby Kicking
I know that this sounds stupid, but what does it feel like when the baby kicks? I'm 17 weeks and yesterday I kept feeling this sharp pain on my left side like near my ribs. I felt it at work then when I was at my parents house and then when I came home. It was on & off and it didn't last very long. I've already felt the flutters, but nothing like this. I was just wondering if it was the baby or it could've been gas.

That was probably gas or ligaments stretching. Baby doesn't kick sharp like that until MUCH later. Feel better

In the beginning it just felt like little tiny bumps way down in the belly. I don't think any sharp pain would be it- I agree it's probably just stretching, but I bet you'll feel it soon!!!

I'm feeling the same sharp pains up by my ribs, I'm also 17 weeks - I thinks its just gas. I know the babies aren't anywhere near my ribs at this point.

I am 20.5 weeks now, and I havent felt baby up at all near my ribs yet. I think that comes much later. Mostly now, she is kicking or poking me low by the waistband of my pants or up as high as my bellybutton.
